University of Dundee

Project Overview

PME Group was appointed by the University of Dundee to undertake a sensitive and technically challenging electrical upgrade within one of the campus’s key IT suites. The work included fire alarms, data and IT infrastructure, and electrical upgrades — all within a live environment containing core systems critical to university operations.

Client Feedback

“I have known the guys from PME for some time, although this was the first contract they delivered for the University of Dundee as PME. This was a particularly difficult contract due to the previous electrical installation and a number of issues had to be overcome throughout the project.

The IT suite that was being upgraded also contained the mainframe IT equipment for the majority of the campus and care had to be taken with this. This also hampered changeovers of the electrical installation as the electrical supply was critical.

I was extremely pleased with the effort that PME put in to overcome the issues that were incurred throughout the project and was delighted that on handover there were zero defects. This was a job well done and PME have now been recommended to become one of our term contractors.”
